Before it Becomes

Before it becomes demands the audience to move through the building in new ways. The doors have been shut and locked (for good).

The audience moves freely between rooms and installations, and the building’s architecture is perceived anew along the way.

Scaffold stairs lead to hidden infrastructure. A black box vibrates after its light has gone out. A video (title: it still is) plays on a construction fence.

The scaffolding opens the building, and hides it in plain sight. It mimics the city rising around it, one that is being built for the future, while itself holdson to the present.
